History
Age 0-6: Late talker, observed to be ‘distracted easily’ and seemingly in silent conversation with ‘imaginary friends’, advent of the echo seemingly awakened verbal communicationAge 6-11: trains with tribe shamans, learning basic healing and combat magics. Shown to possess an instinctive understanding of aether manipulation and the relationship between the elements. Admits that she can hear ‘spirits’. Later examination reveals these ‘spirits’ are elementals.Age 11: A massive Stampede of Dzo are driven through Dotharl Khaa. Rhiannon at the time, was near the center of the camp, and is alerted to the stampede thanks to the elementals so she survives. The cause of the stampede is a wandering Elezen Sharlyean Astrologian who could only attune to the malefic fates. This led him to be incredibly jinxed. The elezen, feeling guilty about having caused the stampede, picks up Rhi and takes her with him on his wanderings. Elezen cannot stay too long in one place without causing disaster.Age 11-15: The two of them wander othard for the next several years. The elezen teaches Rhiannon more advanced spell casting, wound treatment, and other survival skills. Picking the brain of any village healer they pass, Rhiannon also acquires a broad foundation in eastern magics, herbalism and acupuncture.Age 15: The two board a ship for Kugane, only to have a freak storm sweep the ship off course and deposit them in the wilds of dravania.Age 15-17:The two wander the wilds of dravania, picking up more bits of knowledge here and there. Rhiannon learns the beginnings of western alchemy during this time.Age 17: Dalamud falls, and the resulting chaos claims the life of Rhiannon’s adoptive father and mentor.Age 17-26: Rhiannon wanders solo, fascinated by the effects the fall wrought upon the land, the aether and the elementals. Sells her services as a medic and alchemist in towns as she travels for money, and picks up more knowledge of herbalism and medical techniques as she goes.Age 25-26: Meets Khusei and Lyusius during the resurgence of the dragonsong war. Rhiannon was working as a healer in the front lines. Her triage tent was ambushed and she was kidnapped to treat the heretics. Rhi was later rescued by Khusei and Lyu’s unit, and as the only three xaela in the area units they became fast friends.
